Ihram and miqat
May a pilgrim use a stitched blanket provided on the plane after assuming ihram at Qarn al-Manazil?
Answer in brief
A stitched blanket may be used before reaching Qarn al-Manazil, including while still at KLIA. After entering ihram and passing the miqat, the blanket may only cover up to the neck. A woman must not cover her face and a man must not cover his head, as these fall under the prohibitions of ihram.
